The basics.
Terms of use
Effective 26 October 2026
These terms cover your use of Nook, the personal recipe manager published as abiogenesis. Contact Osura Perera at osuraperera@gmail.com about these terms.
Your account and content
Keep your account secure and use Nook lawfully. Upload or share only content you have the right to use. You keep your rights to your own content; using Nook allows us and our service providers to store, process, and display that content as needed to provide the features you request, including sharing it with your chosen audience.
Do not use Nook to harass others, post unlawful material, infringe intellectual property, or interfere with the service. Recipes and other content imported from external sources remain subject to the rights of their original owners. Saving a source link does not transfer ownership.
AI, recipes, and nutrition
AI features can make mistakes in recipe extraction, ingredients, instructions, images, and nutrition estimates. Review results before using them. Check allergens, safe food preparation, and dietary suitability independently. Nook does not provide medical or personalised dietary advice.
Subscriptions
Paid features and prices are shown in the app and store purchase flow. Apple or Google processes payment under the applicable store terms. Subscriptions may renew automatically unless cancelled before renewal under the store’s rules. Manage cancellation and refund requests through the store that billed you. Deleting the app or your Nook account does not cancel a subscription.
For iOS subscriptions, Apple’s Standard Licensed Application End User License Agreement also applies where indicated in the app.
Availability and privacy
Features may change, be unavailable, or need an internet connection. Keep a separate copy of recipes you cannot afford to lose. Read the privacy policy for details of data handling, service providers, and your choices. You can delete your account or contact support about stopping use.
Your legal rights
These terms do not exclude rights or remedies that applicable consumer law gives you. Updates will be published on this page with a new effective date. Contact support if you have a question about a change.
